What is digital marketing?

In the early 2000’s, the term Digital Marketing was first popularized but actually has been around much longer. A component of marketing, Digital Marketing utilizes the internet and online based digital technologies such as mobile phones, desktop computers and other digital media and platforms to promote products and services.

In Dubai, Digital Marketing targets a specific portion of the customer base and is interactive. 

Digital marketing involves email ads, search result ads, and promoted tweets – anything that incorporates marketing thru customer feedback or a two-way interaction between the company and customer.

Why digital marketing?

The traditional marketing exist in the old ways such as print media, cold calling, or physical marketing, Unlike digital marketing where done trough electronically and online. This means that there are a number of endless possibilities for companies to discover such as: email, video, social media, or website-based marketing opportunities.

How long will it take to see results?

For Organic Approach; if you spend time building well informative website that covers all the needs of your audience, and you focus on creating quality content to attract and convert them, then you’re likely to see results within the first six months.

For Paid Advertising Approach; then the results come in real time, meaning as you enable your ads leads will come.  Yet I will recommended to focus on building your organic traffic reach using content, SEO, and social media for long-term purposes.

Types of Digital Marketing

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Known as the process of optimizing your website to “rank” higher in search engine results pages, thus increasing the amount of organic (or free) traffic your website receives.

There are ways to approach SEO such as On Page, Off Page and Technical SEO.

  • Content Marketing

This term means the promotion and creation of content assets for the purpose of generating traffic growth, brand awareness, lead generation, and customers.

You basically pay another company or entity to create and promote content that will discuss your brand or service in some way.

A type of sponsored content is influencer marketing wherein a brand sponsors an influencer in its industry to publish posts or videos related to the company on social media.

PPC is a system of driving traffic into your website by giving compensation to a publisher every time your ad is clicked. One of the most common types of PPC is Google Ads, which allows you to pay a fee for top slots on Google’s search engine results pages at a price “per click” of the links you place.
